The Da Vinci Experience

If you haven’t yet, make sure you get to Henderson to check out The Da Vinci Experience, which showcases more than 60 replicas of the inventions of Leonardo Da Vinci. The replicas were created by artisans in Florence in the 1950s and were reconstructed as close to Da Vinci’s instructions as possible. They are on loan from the Museum of the a History of Science of Florence, Italy. The event will run until March 2, 2008.
The display is divided up into three viewing galleries and include some interactive replicas that include Da Vinci’s work with transportion, mechanical, and military. Copies of his original drawings will also be on display.
Admission is $17 per adult ($12 military & student), and is free for children under 6. It’s open daily until March 2, 2008 except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Hours are Sunday through Thursday 9am-6pm, and Friday and Saturday 10am-8pm.
