By now it’s probably safe to say that everyone knows corporations are avoiding using the words “Super Bowl” when advertising any kind of get-together involving the Super Bowl, especially parties for “The Big Game.”
Incidentally, the NFL and Las Vegas had a pretty good relationship regarding the Super Bowl up until a few years ago:

Vegas PBS (Channel 10) will be holding their “Splendor in the Glass” 19th Annual Benefit Beer & Wine Tasting at the Las Vegas Hilton. The event includes 65 wineries and breweries, a live wine auction, a silent auction, and live jazz this Saturday, January 19th from 3pm-7pm.
Event tickets are $60 advance/$80 at the door and benefit Vegas PBS. They can be purchased online or at Vegas PBS, Khoury’s Fine Wine & Spirits, Las Vegas Wine Co., or Lee’s Discount Liquor. Must be 21 to attend. For more information call 799-1010, ext. 5428.

Lee’s Wine Experience will be hosted at the Las Vegas Hilton this Saturday, November 10, from 3pm to 8pm.
There will be over 1000 wines from Europe, South America, Australia and the US. The event helps support Lee’s Helping Hand, a non-profit committed to support of various community services. The event will also include both live and silent auctions. Wine Club Members will be able to attend a special VIP tasting room.
Tickets are $40 advance/$50 at door and are for sale at all Lee’s Discount Liquor Stores.
Must be 21 years old to attend.

Terry Fator, most recent winner of America’s Got Talent, will be performing at the Las Vegas Hilton this Saturday and Sunday. He’ll also be back again on December 3rd and rumor has it several hotels are vying to get him as a permanent act.
The show is “very family friendly” and tickets are $39.95 – $99.
