I can’t believe Easter is less than two weeks away. Didn’t we just have Christmas?? Anyway, I’ve dug through some newspapers and found some Easter egg hunts around the valley. Some are this weekend and some are actually on Easter, so keep an eye out!

Free Shining Star Egg Hunt
(ages 10-16)

42nd Annual Sons of Erin Parade & Festival

Southern Nevada’s 42nd Annual Sons of Erin Parade & Festival will take place March 14-17th in downtown Henderson. A carnival opens this Thursday the 13th from 5pm to 10pm.
The two-hour parade will take place on Water Street on Saturday from 10am to noon, followed by a first ever car show which will park on Water Street Sunday and Saturday. Food and beverage vendors will be available along the parade route.

NASCAR Weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

The NASCAR Weekend for 2008 is scheduled for February 29 to March 2, one week earlier than the 2007 event.
The new dates call for the following schedule: Qualifying for the UAW-Dodge 400 will be Friday, Feb. 29. The Sam’s Town 300 event will be Saturday, March 1 and the 11th annual UAW-Dodge 400 will be run on Sunday, March 2.
Tickets can be purchased online at LVMS.com, and a full schedule is also located at the site.

Vegas PBS (Channel 10) will be holding their “Splendor in the Glass” 19th Annual Benefit Beer & Wine Tasting at the Las Vegas Hilton. The event includes 65 wineries and breweries, a live wine auction, a silent auction, and live jazz this Saturday, January 19th from 3pm-7pm.
