Robert DeNiro was in town last night to open a new restaurant, AGO in the Hard Rock Hotel. DeNiro is a partner in the restaurant with executive chef Agostino Sciandri, whom the restaurant is named for.
The Italian trattoria is best known for its “authentic Tuscan-style Italian fare that emphasizes light and simple cooking with signature dishes including Burrata con Fagiolini, Tagliatelle al Ragu Antico, and Branzino ai Ferri con Pane Profumato. Chef Kerry Simon is gearing up to open two new restaurants in Las Vegas:
Debuting December 29th at the Luxor is The CatHouse “Loungerie,” a restaurant, lounge and performance space inspired by “the rich opulence of a 19th-century European bordello.”
Once CatHouse is up and running, Simon will turn his attention to Palms Place, the new luxury tower at the Palms Casino where his next venture will debut. Called Simon at Palms Place, it will open in early Spring 2008 serving a steak and seafood menu, including sushi, in an opulent setting designed by the ever present Rockwell group.
