Treasure Island – now trying hard to be called simply “ti” – was built in 1993 by Steve Wynn for $450 million as part of the Mirage Resorts. It has 2,885 rooms and is located on the Las Vegas Strip.

The pirate theme of the resort was an attraction for the hotel’s first decade (during the “family friendly-ing” of Las Vegas) which included a free nightly pirate show in Buccaneer Bay.
