Get Star Struck at Madame Tussauds

Craving some star gazing but don’t want to travel to LA or New York? Madame Tussauds may be able to fill the need!
The wax museum has been a part of Las Vegas since 1999 when it opened one of its half dozen worldwide locations on the Strip. It’s located on the moving walkway between the Venetian and Las Vegas Blvd just off Spring Mountain.
The Las Vegas museum focuses mainly on celebrities, whereas other locations around the world feature celebrities, sports stars, historical figures, world leaders and in the case of the London location, a Chamber of Horrors! Each figure …read more

Take a Walk on Vegas’s Wild Side

Take a Walk on Vegas’s Wild Side

There’s so much more to Vegas than loud casinos and flashy showgirls!
Over the years a lot of hotels and developers have been mindful of the fact that people also come to Vegas to relax, and maybe even get the kids out of the house or the hotel room once in a while too.
~ Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay is a fantastic experience for kids and adults alike. It’s been over a year since we went last and my kids are still talking about it! Their favorite part was the 20-foot-long acrylic tunnel you can walk through while fish …read more

SexxPresso Serves Up the Hottest Coffee in Vegas

SexxPresso Serves Up the Hottest Coffee in Vegas

Only in Vegas! The hottest cup of coffee isn’t at Starbucks, it’s at SexxPresso – Las Vegas’s first “erotic coffee shop” where drinks are served by lingerie-clad baristas!
The drink sizes and drink names are suggestive too, of course – try ordering a cup size A, B or DD (20 oz!) Pleasure Cup (cafe mocha) or Porn Star (chocolate covered cherry latte) with a straight face! This is definitely one coffee shop that doesn’t take itself too seriously (always a bonus in my book).
And they do actually have more on the menu than the usual espressos, lattes and “slap-accinos!” Drop …read more

It’s just been announced that pop diva and newlywed Mariah Carey has signed on at Planet Hollywood for her own Las Vegas show!
She’ll be joining the likes of Bette Midler and Cher as not only a headliner of her own Strip show but also as a resident of Las Vegas.
The deal will earn her a nice $100 million over three years for a nightly performance. No word yet when on when her run begins.
An insider has said “Mariah is one of the most popular performers around. She could easily become the Queen of the Las Vegas strip.”
I think …read more

Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower Ride

Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower Ride

Did you know you could ride to the top of the Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower? In only 90 seconds you can go from being part of the hustle and bustle of the Strip to just an observer!
This isn’t an attraction for the vertigo-prone – from the moment you leave the ground in the glass enclosed elevator until you get to the top of the mesh enclosed deck 460 feet up – you can’t help but be aware you’re leaving terra firma behind! The amazing view at the top is worth it, though, and if you haven’t left your camera …read more

Las Vegas “Staycation” Deals for Locals

Las Vegas “Staycation” Deals for Locals

Vegas is a popular travel destination, and for good reason. Deals are found at practically every locale, from buffets to shows to souvenir shops. But with over two million residents, it’s also a pretty great place to live, offering even more deals to locals!
A trend that’s gaining more popularity lately are “staycations” – a vacation taken close to home. They’re cheap – you don’t have to pay for airfare, hotels, rental cars, etc. – and you get a chance to learn more about your city and discover things about it you may not have known before.
Below the cut are a …read more

I spotlighted the Paris Las Vegas a couple of months ago and came across this beautiful picture of it at night by flickr user mandj98. It’s just as breathtaking in person!
