Sin City Rollergirls

Rollergirls fascinate me. Maybe it’s because there’s not a chance in hell I’d ever have the guts to do it, or maybe because the women who participate are such great sports about taking a beating or dishing one out.
Las Vegas’s Sin City Rollergirls present Sunday Slaughter, a three-period practice game most Sundays at 7pm. A $5 donation requested if you want to watch, or you can even participate! You need to bring bring bottled water and a photocopy of your driver’s license or passport and you’ll also be required to fill out a waiver, and sign up for a $35/year USARS accident insurance policy before you can get rolling. Practice gear can even be provided by the team while you decide if you want to stick with it or not!
If participating isn’t up your alley, they also need refs, scorekeepers and other volunteers. They can be contacted at sincityrollergirls@hotmail.com if you need more info. A full schedule of practices and competitions can be found on their site calendar.
Practice tonight starts at 7pm at 6255 West Flamingo Park.
