excalibur

The Excalibur is the only hotel on the Strip that my kids have to look for when we’re on the freeway!

Ah, this photo takes me back. We stayed here in 2001 because we got such a deal on rates. While it wasn’t the greatest hotel on the strip, its location and proximity to the tram was tops for visiting other destinations.

Hi Jody! Did you go down to the arcade at the Excalibur? We’ve been there a couple of times when family with small children come into town and it’s always a hit. And it is in a great spot!

This past week, a buddy of mine and I had the feeling to walk through the Excalibur archways again. How delightful and precious is it to find that once we set foot inside, we were instantly 10 years old again. The downstairs midway had some of the same games that transported us back in time. We loved it. How, we thought, this hotel was so ahead of it’s time? It still is marvelous to look at, and play at.
