Lavo Nightclub Opens at the Palazzo

It must be hard coming up with new and original themes, especially in Las Vegas. Take, for instance, the new nightclub opening up at the Palazzo:

Lavo (latin for “to bathe or cleanse”) is a “bi-level restaurant and club that balances Mediterranean dining against Vegas-style performance art — most notably, in both stairwell wall nooks and a $5000 copper tub in the dining room, you’ll witness barely clothed stripper/Cleopatra hybrids engaged in bathing rituals while enjoying grapes and wash-towels served by bald midgets.”

However, it doesn’t end there. Taking a glass bridge lined with worn tile walls and stone wash basins to the club upstairs you’ll find a hookah-filled, tiled bar area leading to a dance floor with decorative bathtub fixtures jutting out of the walls.

Tuesday nights are Industry Night, dedicated to the locals who keep the Strip running smoothly. Wednesdays are for “label junkies” and will feature a local retailer with show spotlights taking place throughout the night.

The 300 seat restaurant downstairs offers a main dining area, a 20-seat private room, and a patio overlooking the Strip. It’s open seven days a week for dinner with late night dining on Friday and Saturday nights until 1:00 a.m and midnight Sunday through Thursday.
