Las Vegas “Staycation” Deals for Locals

Vegas is a popular travel destination, and for good reason. Deals are found at practically every locale, from buffets to shows to souvenir shops. But with over two million residents, it’s also a pretty great place to live, offering even more deals to locals!
A trend that’s gaining more popularity lately are “staycations” - a vacation taken close to home. They’re cheap - you don’t have to pay for airfare, hotels, rental cars, etc. - and you get a chance to learn more about your city and discover things about it you may not have known before.
Below the cut are a bunch of current and ongoing deals and specials just for Las Vegas locals. Keep in mind that in order to get most locals deals you’ll need to present some kind of ID (driver’s license, student ID) to get the discounts! And it doesn’t hurt to ask when purchasing tickets at other locations to ask if they have any deals!

Holy Smokes! How can I get on board? My grandparents live in Henderson… can I possibly get them to accompany my girlfriend and I up for any of the Gallery shows or do we have to present them with personal identification as well?
But all-in-all, I hope this brings more of the locals out to experience what the tourists get to. I wish Disneyland had something like this… I live across the street.
Thanks,
Ryan M. Rodriguez

Hi Ryan! I’ve only taken advantage of a few locals deals but the times that we have we’ve both had to show our Nevada IDs. I’ve talked to my husband to see if he remembers how it works, and he thinks that if the person buying the tickets has ID you *should* be ok (if you had your grandparents buy all the tickets in advance, for example). It wouldn’t hurt to call ahead though just to double check!
