How’s Traffic?

by Heather on June 24th, 2008

las vegas traffic

Not an uncommon question around Las Vegas! Side streets are usually pretty clear but to really get anywhere other than a residential area chances are you’ll need to use a main road.

Traffic.com has a very handy tool that lets you type in your city and instantly see accidents, road hazards, planned events, how the flow of traffic looks in real time and it even gives it to you quickly with green, yellow or red highlighted routes.

You can even enter in a specific address or city and your destination address or city and get an estimate of how long it’ll take you with current road conditions!

The Las Vegas traffic map is here and I’ve also added the link to the sidebar over on the right for quick reference!

If anyone drives in Las Vegas, they know of the 1hr midday tour that is the Strip “Parking Lot” of vehicles. If at all possible, try taking “Frank Sinatra Dr” which runs parallel to the strip.

On my most recent conference trip, the crazy cab driver informed me that it was still the greatest untapped resource in Las Vegas when getting around.

All in all, it should only take you about 15 minutes to traverse the strip. And save you $30 if taking a cab.

    Cheers,

Hi Ryan! Frank Sinatra Dr (formerly Industrial) is a total lifesaver for those wanting to avoid the Strip (and really, after you’ve seen it once or twice, who doesn’t? :D )
