Helping California Fire Victims: Las Vegas Donation Drive

The California wildfires are all over the news here - southern California is only a couple hours away. Several of the local newspapers and tv stations and have set up spots around the city for donatations to be shipped to southern California:
Donations of supplies such as water, blankets and other necessities can be dropped off at the following Wal-Mart locations from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. today:
• 6464 Decatur Blvd. at the Las Vegas Beltway
• 5200 Fort Apache Road at Tropicana Avenue
• 2310 Serene at Eastern Avenue, Henderson
The losses due to the fires have topped $1 billion in damages and have claimed one life. With more than half a million people evacuated and over 1300 houses currently destroyed it’s the largest natural disaster evacuation in state history.
