This amazing shot of a Desert Big Horn Sheep jumping from rock to rock in Red Rock Canyon was taken by flickr user mandj98. Desert Big Horn Sheep are the state animal of Nevada and can be seen fairly often in a lot of tourist spots, from Red Rock Canyon to Lake Mead.
The picture of CityCenter above was taken by Jon of Travel Photo Daily while he was here in Las Vegas for Blog World Expo last month. The 16,797,000 square feet CityCenter is expected to open late 2009.
Not that kind of strip, but I got your attention, right? We see a lot of beautiful pictures of the Las Vegas Strip at night with all the bright lights and colors, and not so many taken during daylight hours. It almost looks like a regular city! [image: flickr]
This picture would have about summed up what I thought of Vegas before I lived here: Cruising the Strip in a pink Caddy with Elvis on your wedding day – it doesn’t get more old school than that! [image: flickr]
This week’s photo is one you don’t get to see very often – a behind the scenes shot of a performer as she gets ready for her part in Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity. [image: flickr]
The view from McCarran Airport of some Las Vegas hotels is usually the first (and last) glimpse of the Strip that visitors see! Though not as exciting as actually being on the Strip, even I’ll admit that the excitement to get there starts building right about here! [image: flickr]
