Comedian Kevin Burke stars in “Defending the Caveman” at the Golden Nugget tonight for $8.88! The smash Broadway hit is about the relationships between men and women and has entertained over 8 million people worldwide.

Daytime talk show The View has been in Las Vegas this week and this morning Bette Midler performed “The Showgirl Must Go On” live!
In the clip below she talks about the show and characters, how she and her husband Martin were actually married at Caesars, and how she decided now was the time for a Vegas show:

She also mentions how when Celine Dion was giving her advice she recommended the Las Vegas Mix allergy spray. Don’t waste your money, Bette!

First off, I love Samantha Brown. If you don’t have the Travel Channel her shows alone are worth it. So when I found out that her new show titled Passport to Great Getaways premieres tonight and that I had a chance for a sneak peak on her Las Vegas weekend, I jumped at the chance!

Two of Jay Leno’s upcoming shows at the Mirage will benefit Iowa flood victims: The proceeds from the 10pm shows on June 25th and 27th at the Danny Gans Theatre will go to the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, a charity created to help support the quality of life in the community.

Blue Man Group is one of those of those shows that you can’t help but wonder how it got started. Who came up with the crazy idea of covering three guys in blue paint, black clothes and have them beat on drums, pipes and tubes and throw paint and food around?

Jon at The DC Traveler challenged the Travel Channel to come up with cocktails pertaining to our cities in honor for World Cocktail Week, which runs from May 8-13.
I found The Las Vegas Cocktail and might actually give it a try this weekend, and came up with a few of my own as well:
Las Vegas Cocktail
- 1 1/2 oz tequila
- 2 oz coconut cream
- 2 oz orange juice
- 2 oz apple juice

We are fortunate enough to have this symphony in our front yard every morning around 6am. Doubly fortunate that it’s right outside the kids’ bedroom windows! I have no idea what kind of birds these are but they only stick around for about a week before our blissful morning quiet is returned to us.

Monty Python’s Spamalot is a comedic musical “lovingly ripped off from” the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It premiered in Las Vegas at the Wynn Hotel last March in the newly renamed Grail Theater (formerly known as the Broadway Theater).
The Las Vegas production includes the talents of John O’Hurley of Seinfeld fame as King Arthur. It runs about 90 minutes and features the song “All For One,” most of the song “Run Away,” the Knights of Ni receiving their shrubbery, and the “Make sure he doesn’t leave” scene with Prince Herbert’s guards.
