Bonnie Springs Old Nevada
One of the first hidden gems we found when we moved here was Bonnie Springs Old Nevada. Located at 1 Gunfighter Lane, Blue Diamond, Nevada it’s about half an hour away from the city, but even the drive is nice!
Bonnie Springs is “a replica of an 1880’s mining town built on the 115-acre Bonnie Springs Ranch.” It has a petting zoo (I seem to remember something about the majority of the animals being injured rescues, but I can’t find information about this on the site), a Wild West town with a cowboy shootout on weekends, horse riding, a restaurant, souvenir shop, a miniature train ride from the parking lot to the town, and a wax museum.
Park admittance (which includes the petting zoo) is $20.00 per car load up to 6 people, and this also includes a $10 coupon for the restaurant. Summer hours are 10:30 am - 6:00 pm.
The grounds are open 365 days a year, and they also host parties and events in the old west town - call 702-875-4191 for more information and to make a reservation.
(Directions to Bonnie Springs Old Nevada: Just head straight down Charleston Blvd west for 25 miles, they’re located on the right-hand side. Look for the big wooden archway that says “Old Nevada”.)

I loved Bonne Springs! Don’t forget to visit Spring Mountain State Park just a few more miles up the road! You can see a man made lake and a miner’s abode as it looked back then!
