Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton

The Las Vegas Hilton announced just a few days ago that its long-running Star Trek: The Experience will be closing on September 1. A decline in ticket sales over the last little while was cited as the biggest reason for the closure.
There’s still time to battle the BORG and the Klingons before everything’s packed up, though! Tickets are still on sale for the whole experience – the BORG Invasion 4D, Klingon Encounter, and History of the Future Museum – for $42.99 per person, or $35.99 per person for seniors, children under 12 and Nevada residents with valid ID. The ticket office hours are 11:30am to 8:00pm, with the first ride beginning at 12:00 noon and the last ride starting at 8:30pm.
If you’re hungry there is, of course, Quark’s Bar & Restaurant, which is open 11:30am to 10:30pm Sunday through Thursday, and 11:30am to 11:30pm Friday through Saturday.
Zek’s Grand Emporium, Moogie’s Trading Post, and Garak’s Clothiers are retail shops that allow you to pick up CDs, clothes, DVDs, books, uniforms, and other souvenirs for the trekkie in your life, and you can have your souvenir picture taken at the Molecular Imaging Chamber. All are open from 11:00am to 10:30pm Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00am to 11:30pm Friday through Saturday.
Of course, being Vegas, you can also still get married on the bridge of the USS Enterprise!
The closure of the Experience will have no effect on the official Star Trek convention August 6th-10th, also at the Las Vegas Hilton. The convention takes place before the closure and the rides, museum, restaurant, and shops will all still be open.

Geez, this is too bad. I liked going here, and Quarks had an interesting menu, to be sure.
I’m sure my Mom will be heartbroken.
It is.
I’ve been holding out hope that their ticket prices would come down because there’s no way we can afford for even two people, let alone five. Ah well.
