Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino Grand Opening

Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino’s Grand Opening celebration is being held today and tomorrow at their newest location at the center of the Strip.
The building was constructed in 2000 as the Aladdin, in the spot of the Tally-Ho hotel which opened in 1963, and then the original Aladdin which opened in 1966 and closed in 1997 before being imploded in 1998. The Aladdin ran into financial trouble in 2003 and was sold to Planet Hollywood and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. Planet Hollywood has actually been open since April.
About 1/3 of the Desert Passage shopping mall stores will be converted to the resort’s new Los Angeles theme, and will be renamed Miracle Mile Shops.
The hotel contains 2600 movie-themed rooms, with 900 rooms using themes that have never been seen before.

I’ll be heading to Vegas next weekend, and I’m definitely interested in checking out the new interior of this place.
This is where we are staying for our honeymoon, actually the resort room.
I stayed here once and will stay here everytime I come to Vegas- I loved it!
