I live in Southern Highlands, I've had my car broken into & some losers tried to break into my house. I'm so home sick, can't wait to get out! I'm orig from L.A. It rains a lot in the summers here but it usually doesn't cool things off (sometimes but rarely). It usually just makes the air feel like a sauna. Both times I was in Vegas it was August and I liked that while it was so hot, I wasn't sweating that much. I sweat up a storm in the Florida heat. I'm one of those people who only see the casino culture of Vegas. But I hate casinos and that stands out so.... but now I know. Also, not an Elvis fan and I like living where it's green too. Guess you don't have to worry about me couch surfing anytime soon ;) You know, Utah is hot but New Mexico is hotter -- maybe it's like Vegas. I liked it though. To me the one upside of NM was the lack of humidity. I'm thrilled to be back in the NW but really hate the humid stuff (so do my curls) I look crazy. Awesome post.
